ISS Workshop, BY INVITATION ONLY: The Role of Intergovernmental Organisations in Multilateral Disarmament Verification

Organised by the Africa`s Development and the Threat of Weapons of Mass Destruction Project, Pretoria Office in collaboration with The Verification Research, Training and Information Centre

The ISS will co-host with the Verification Research, Training and Information Centre (VERTIC) a closed meeting on "The Role of Intergovernmental Organisations in Multilateral Disarmament Verification" from 8 – 9 March 2012. The workshop is supported by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oslo. The meeting aims to develop new thinking in the realm of multilateral disarmament verification and consider the arguments for incorporating multilateralism into future verified disarmament processes; and to investigate the potential role of inter-governmental organisations in verifying nuclear disarmament.
