ISS talks solutions to violent crime at Securex 2016
Date: 24 May 2016
Time: 11h45 - 14h15
Venue: Gallagher Convention Centre, Johannesburg

Over the past three years, murder and armed robbery have increased substantially in South Africa. Why is this and how much do we really know about what drives violent crime in the country?

Gareth Newham, head of the Governance, Crime and Justice division at the ISS, will provide insights on violent crime at Securex 2016, Africa’s leading security and fire exhibition. He will also talk about how to reduce violent crime in a sustainable manner.

The ISS is grateful for support from the following members of the ISS Partnership Forum: the governments of Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and the USA.
