ISS Seminar, Pretoria Office: African Union Mission in Somalia: What does the future hold?

AMISOM is mandated to conduct Peace Support Operations in Somalia that aim to stabilise the current situation in that country, to provide for security and create conditions that facilitate the conduct of humanitarian activities. However, can AMISOM execute such a complex mission, with limited capabilities, in an environment where there is no peace to keep?
