As 2010 continues to be celebrated as the Year of Peace and Security, the Institute for Security Studies invites you to a seminar to commemorate Africa Peace Day on 21 September. The seminar will consider the question of whether Africa can expect to be a more peaceful continent within the next 20-25 years. The seminar will reflect on conflict and peacebuilding in the continent over the past 20 years, and assess the key drivers of conflict over the period. The seminar will also look into Africa`s future for the next 20 years, assessing the prospects for peace.
