ISS Roundtable, Nairobi: Towards an Understanding of Kenya’s Post-Colonial Foreign Policy
Date: 11 November 2010
Venue: ISS Seminar Room, , Braeside Gardens off Muthangari Road, Lavington, , Nairobi, , Kenya,

The Institute for Security Studies (ISS-Nairobi Office) in conjuction with the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA), cordially invites your esteemed organisation to participate in a one-day Roundtable on Kenya’s foreign policy titled ‘Towards an Understanding of Kenya’s Post-Colonial Foreign Policy.’

Deliberations at the workshop will lay the ground for a detailed analysis of Kenya’s current and future foreign policy priorities in order to improve the quality of analysis on Kenya among researchers, policymakers and the business community in Kenya, South Africa and beyond.  This initiative is especially timely as Kenya recently reviewed its foreign policy to reflect its current national, regional and global priorities.

Furthermore, as both Kenya and South Africa continue to play a critical role in developing ideas on how to achieve continental peace and development, the roundtable is an opportune moment to examine how both countries can strengthen their bilateral relations to provide effective leadership in their respective regions and on the continent.
