Presented by the Security Sector Governance Programme

The Security Sector Governance Program has produced a documentary on the gendered transformation of the security sector in South Africa.  It provides this overview through tracking the journeys of three women who have been instrumental in bringing about change within the security sector, namely, Major General Ntsiki Motumi- Chief Director: Transformation Management at the SANDF, Hon. Thandi Modise - current Deputy Secretary General of the ANC and previous   chair of the portfolio committee on Defence and Dr Mala Singh current Executive Director of Human Resource at the University of South Africa (UNISA) and the first woman to be appointed as a Deputy National Commissioner in SAPs. Placing the spotlight on women in the security sector is in line with UNSC Resolution 1325 whose 10th Anniversary is being celebrated this year.  Come and join us for an hour in which we will screen the documentary over lunch.
