Press Release: Core Funding Contribution to the ISS by Iceland

The Institute for Security Studies is pleased to announce that the government of Iceland has entered into an agreement to strengthen the institutional capacity of the ISS for promoting peace and security in Africa during the period 2007 – 2008. The grant extended by Iceland shall be used by the ISS as core budget support towards its general agenda and regional programmes in Africa with a portion used for a focus on women`s contribution and access to peace negotiations and peace development. Iceland joins Norway, Finland, Sweden and Denmark as a member of the Nordic core donors to the ISS.
